Veteran's Day

Thank someone in the Military for your freedom today.

This is my brother-in-law, Dr. Gary V. Mertz.
He was fighting for my freedom before I was even born!!
"Uncle Gary" as we all affectionately refer to; fought
for our country in Vietnam. I'm thankful for him and blessed to have
him in my life. He's intelligent, funny and has a beautiful heart.
My daughter's adore their uncle and are very aware of what a brave and selfless man he truly is.


I'm thankful for this man right here. He is another Brother-in-law
of mine... (because I have 5 awesome one's) he's married to my beautiful sister. Active duty, still standing up for my freedom and yours. Big Daddy is one of the most selfless human beings I will ever know. I say that with absolute conviction and positiveness. I've lost count of his trips to Iraq.

My sister hosted a beautiful home coming gathering for him this past year upon his arrival back into the states.

What's a celebration without cake!?

Sara and Oscar

Sara and Oscar were married on May 24, 2009 at The Thursday Club.....

I had a great time working with Sara and her mom. It was a really fun day!

Honestly, Sara and Oscar are a stunning couple. Both with raven hair and Sara's blue eye's are amazing!

Brides in Bloom

My first June Bride. Carli was married June 6, 2009 in Point Loma, San Diego. Her wedding day look was soft, natural, glowing. Carli's hair was done using hot rollers taken in large sections for a more soft elongated curl. We had a great time.....Congratulations Carli!

A day in the life......Wedding day on location

Ready, Set, Wedding day. Here's how most of them start off. Food, drink, music and fun.

I gather in a hotel room with a group of women on a mission to make it to the alter. Most importantly the ONE who will be wearing the white dress. The day is filled with cell phones ringing, grandmas and aunties walking through the door and surprise visits from old friends!

The groom makes a special delivery of a sweet sentiment or a gift of some kind.

Dad may make a visit to doat on his daughter one last time......

Getting the Bridal party ready is my labor of love. At the end of the day what matters the most is that everyone looks amazing!

ME.......at work Part One

Very often friends and clients ask me what it's like to go on location and work with Brides. There is a huge curiosity about what I do and where I go. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to see so many awesome places. I'm often in LA, Newport Beach, Laguna, Santa Monica, not to mention all over the San Diego area. That's just in California....out of state has brought me to some cool places too! No matter where I am....a hotel, mother of the brides home, an apartment, I refer to the chair my client is sitting in as "my chair" That's where the magic happens!!

I don't like showing lots of pic's of myself, but since I don't divulge alot of info I figured this might be a good way to do it. There's more to come, stay tuned................
My on location work takes me to so many amazing venues, I LOVE it!
